Today is our Home Study with the social worker! Once this is complete and she deems us approved, the adoption process can begin!!!! The next step will be a waiting until the Lord hand picks our birth mom. While we wait for that, I will be sending in our applications to foundations who offer grants for parents who are adopting African America or bi-racial babies. All the while praying we are chosen, as every little bit will help with the cost of adoption. But, we know He has ordained this time in our lives and He will join us with the who He wants. Recently, during my journal writing, He spoke to me and said, "I want you to begin praying for the birth mom, start focusing on her and not yourself. Do not worry or concern yourself with whether you and William will try again for a biological baby, focus on the amazing gift I am about to bless you with". I tell you from that day forward, I have let go of the what ifs! So, daily I pray for the birth moms' strength, I pray for her courage, I pray for her health, I pray for her well being. I pray for what she eats, for who she allows in her life, and for her mind, body and her spirit. I pray for the baby, OUR baby, that she is carrying, that he or she will form as God intended, that he or she will not be harmed in anyway and finally I pray for William and I, I pray that God continues to give us the strength to walk the path He has laid out before us, that we continue to prepare our lives for our beautiful baby boy or baby girl blessing. Adoption is not cheap, but money will not stop us from doing what God has placed in our hearts, therefore, we know that He ordained this journey, therefore, He will provide our every need as He always has. So, Father, I thank you for all you are and for all you continue to be in our lives. I love you, and I adore you.
Continuing to pray for you and William..I can't wait to meet the beautiful baby God has handpicked for you two. Love you!!
