Well done thy good and faithful servant.......

Today, Lil Will was called home at 11:02 AM by our Father. his work here on earth is complete. He touched so many lives including ours while we were blessed with his presence. He taught us how to live one day at a time and depend on our Father no matter what the circumstances. He was our lil angel on earth. We miss him dearly but we must all remember God gives us our children for a time, they are HIS, on loan to us. To love, to cherish and rear in the way the Lord wants us to. We know that weeping may endure for a night but joy comes in the morning. Our hearts are full but we know he is resting well and is in no more pain. Our dear sweet Lil Will touched us all. We are in the process of planning his home going celebration, a celebration of his wonderful life. We will post it to the blog as soon as the arrangements are final. All praises to God for allowing us the privilege to be Lil Will's parents. We thank you Lord!

Lil Will approves of his new digs...

A picture is truly worth a thousand words! He smiled and giggled all afternoon! Again, we say, THANK you Lord!!

We made it.....OCH...(Our Childrens House)......

Here is Lil Will arriving at OCH, yeah! Most of the rooms here are semi private but because of his dialysis, he was able to get a PRIVATE room! Of course, they warned us that our stay at Children's would be like a hotel and OCH was nothing like this. Correct! However, the staff is great and they are ready to make sure we are trained. We already had our first training session, gee, can we get used to the new digs before we have to learn something! Today, we learned how to bag him, YES, I said bag him, give him oxygen, and YES, we did practice on him not a dummy. We learned how to suction (already learned at CMC) but using a different suction device. Finally, we began learning the vent. By the time we leave, each of us will be able to change his trach and trach ties by ourselves! I am terrified! Can I really do this all by myself!?? I know I can but it is a bit overwhelming! I'm thinking I may need to be a nurse or respiratory therapist, I should at least get paid for doing all of this, huh! HA! HA! We will do anything we have to, so we can properly care for our lil pumpkin! Guess what, our respiratory trainer mentioned the docs told her to have us trained and outta there within 3 weeks! 3 weeks!!!!!! Of course, she said that Lil Will is the driver so we will have to do what he allows us to do. =) =) We will keep you posted!!

and.....the Children's Transport team arrives.......Yippee!!!! We are really outta here!!!

OMG! When are they going to arrive??? Finally at 12:30 PM, they pull up to his door, with a stretcher all ready to pick him and head to Baylor Our Children's House. Pinch me, pinch me, are you sure, we are really leaving Children's? YES! YES! We are leaving......outta here!! So many nurses and other staff, said, you already paid for the room, why don't yall stay until the end of the month?!?**%%$$ ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? As much as we have come to love some many of Lil Will's caregivers, we will holla atcha later!! Maybe we can see you at a restaurant or the mall or better yet come visit...BUT, we are OUT!! Thank you Lord! Above are the pics of him being loaded up into the GIANT ambulance. I got to ride with him, in the front seat, not in the back. He enjoyed the ride and was a very good boy. The one thing, many of you may not have thought about but today was the first day, our baby, felt the sun on his skin, saw the sky (albeit, briefly), felt the breeze (oh, who am I kidding, there was no breeze but you know what I mean!). It was great! He looked up, the sun was too bright and he closed his eyes! What a moment, it was completely priceless! The ride over was uneventful, he just looked around while the respiratory therapist rubbed his head. What a monumental milestone in the Carlisle Families life and all of you who have walked along this journey with us!

Jonda, one of God's angels.....

It wasn't Jonda's regular scheduled day to work but on 12/30/08, she was called to come in. I don't believe it was to necessarily care for Lil Will, or at least that probably wasn't the intention of the charge nurse. However, we know who is in charge! God handpicked Jonda to care for Lil Will and become a part of his care team while he was in PICU. Over the past 6 months, Jonda has taken care of him, she has shared recipes (great gourmet chef!), she has shared her faith with us and always spoke words of faith and healing over Lil Will. She and my dad have talked about growing veggies, working on the farm, funeral home business and much more. Jonda became our friend. We pray for her as she prays for us. We know God sent her to us on 12/30 to walk along this faith journey He had in store for us. We thank God for the journey and for sharing Jonda with us! The pictures you see above are of Jonda with Lil Will on 1/1/09 and again, today, 6 1/2 months later, and you go about daily life without recognizing Him! I say, how can you! HE is almighty, HE is a healer, HE is the great physician, HE can do all things. But, He does just what He says He will do in HIS timing, not man's! All praise to the most high!
As I write this post, I am so full of joy, thanksgiving and adoration to my Father who has shown us what the manifestation of His word can do. He can do exceptionally more than any of us can ever imagine. We are heirs to His throne, everything He has is available to us. We must depend on Him. So, today, if I have failed to say it to you Father, I thank you for your grace and your mercy. I thank you for every sacrifice you have made for me! Most of all I thank you for the journey and for blessing our families lives with Lil Will. He is the greatest gift I could ever ask for!!!

Just hanging out with my folks....

On the eve before Lil Will's big move outta Children's Medical Center, we just hung out with him taking pictures and thanking God from where He has brought us! The Lord has truly blessed us. He has placed the right people in our lives at just the right time. He has shown us how to truly lean on Him and only Him during this time. He has walked with us every step of way, He has carried us when we couldn't stand or walk alone, He has shouldered all of our burdens and allowed us to cast our cares upon Him. He has been the great I am. Without Him, we never could have made it and without each of you who have stood with us and prayed for us, and prayed without ceasing. We love you and we thank you for being here for us. Oh, Lord how excellent is thy name!!

My Godmommie came to see me!

Lil Will's godmommie, Servanie came to hang out with him this weekend. He stared and stared at her. It was a new face he doesn't get to see that often. They had a great visit.
